China's first continuous pipe working machine was successfully developed

The Science and Technology Management Department of the Group Company was informed that the continuous pipe working machine developed by Jianghan Machinery Research Institute of China National Petroleum Corporation Drilling Engineering Technology Research Institute passed the on-site industrial test of 6 wells in Dagang Oilfield, marking the first self-determination in China. The successful development of the continuous pipe working machine for intellectual property rights and the key projects of the National 863 Program “continuous pipe technology and equipment” have achieved important milestones.
Continuous pipe technology is an widely used advanced technology in oil and gas exploration and development. At present, there are more than 1000 sets of continuous pipe equipment used in oil drilling, completion, logging and workover operations, especially for horizontal wells. And measures have unique advantages that are difficult to achieve with conventional operating techniques and methods. China's continuous pipe technical equipment and supporting tools have long relied on imports, which seriously restricts the promotion and application of continuous pipe technology in China. To this end, the National Ministry of Science and Technology organized experts through a rigorous and scientific argument, the "continuous pipe technology and equipment" as a key topic of the "Advanced Drilling Technology and Equipment" of the National 863 Program, its main research content "continuous pipe work machine" It is listed as the main research target of the “Development of Pipeline Workover Equipment and Tools” for the major equipment development project of the group company.
The results of on-site industrial tests show that the off-road performance and transport capacity of the continuous pipe working machine have been severely tested by harsh conditions such as muddy roads. The installation and disassembly of the equipment are rapid, and the components of the continuous pipe working machine operate normally and smoothly. Stable, accurate display of the instrument, good handling performance of the whole machine, can fully meet the requirements of on-site construction operations, and the performance of the whole machine has reached the international advanced level.
