Inkjet knowledge series of inkjet development history and inkjet method

Inkjet printing is a new non-contact, non-pressure, non-printing printing technology, which can be printed by inputting the information stored in the electronic computer into the Inkjet Printer. It also has the common feature of non-version digital printing, which can realize variable information printing.
The history of inkjet printing can be traced back to 1884. American C.H.Richard put water in a syringe and squeezed the needle end to fly out a droplet, which was inspired. If the flying liquid is charged, it is controlled by electricity It can form a portrait on the paper when it falls, which is called fog ink printing. At that time, because of problems with needles and ink, the effect was not good, and it was not until 1960 that it officially entered the practical stage. Twenty years ago this process began to be applied to barcode processing and product serial number printing, but the resolution was not satisfactory at that time. It was not until nearly 10 years that the quality of inkjet printing has made rapid progress.
There are more than 20 ways of inkjet printing, but the basic principle is to first generate small ink droplets and then guide them to the set position. It can be roughly divided into two types: continuous and on-demand. The so-called continuous inkjet is to produce ink droplets in a continuous manner regardless of the printed or non-printed type, and then recover or disperse the non-printed ink droplets; on-demand inkjet is only in the printed part Only ink droplets are produced. Inkjet printing can be divided into black and white inkjet and color inkjet according to printing color. Black and white inkjet printing only uses a single ink, so the machine structure and ink system are relatively simple, while color inkjet printing is relatively more complicated. At present, the resolution of inkjet printing can reach 40 dots / mm, and the quality is close to that of photographs.
Inkjet digital printers are very versatile. They have general-purpose models, but depending on the purpose of use, their speed and resolution, as well as the color reproduction area, are very different. There are not many suppliers of continuous inkjet digital printing machines. There are two main types of equipment, one is high-speed printing, and the other is high-quality color proofing. The number of suppliers of continuous inkjet printers is limited because inkjet heads must be manufactured by companies that can provide complete solutions. On-demand inkjet is different. There are many OEM suppliers of inkjet heads on the market. On-demand inkjet heads can be manufactured in large quantities, while continuous inkjet heads are more complicated and difficult to mass produce.
