Replace the ribbon with LED strips for the stadium floor marking
November 06, 2022
A German company ABS Systembau GMBH has developed a glass-encased LED lighting system that replaces the traditional scribing on the wooden floor of the stadium with LED strips. At present, this strange lighting system has been put into use in many school gymnasiums in Germany. This lighting system can be used for basketball, tennis, badminton, or other activities, making the general gymnasium an all-around gymnasium suitable for all kinds of competitions.
This lighting system is called ABS Glassfloor. The glass material of the floor is treated with a ceramic treatment to achieve the elasticity and friction of the wooden floor. The company promises to let the intended customers perform a “bounce test” to ensure that the ball has the same elasticity on the ABS Glassfloor as the wooden floor in the stadium.
ABS Glassfloor has also been treated to reduce light reflections to prevent interference with athletes, and ABS Glassfloor light reflections are identical to typical marble surface light reflections. The ABS Glassfloor is made up of a lightweight aluminum frame with LED lighting support and can be combined with sensors to illuminate the ball or the player's feet to determine if they are out of bounds.
