Australia's advanced inkjet technology (ait) company announced the launch of the Squidjet digital press. The four-color machine is a modular design, using Xaar's 1001 inkjet head.
The aircraft was manufactured by rapidmachinery in New South Wales. Ait implanted ixpressia inkjet software on the machine and brought the product to market. Squidjet can have a variety of widths, and there are a range of modules available for users to choose from, such as uv flexo, die cutting, hot stamping, lamination, rfid tag insertion, slitting, rewinding, web cutting, etc. Xaar inkjet heads can reach a printing speed of 40 meters per minute at a resolution of 960 dpi.
